National Championships Manchester

Best leg Academy student Darriel Ramku won bronze medal in his first ever national championships which was held on the 6th – 7th September 2008 at the Manchester Velodrome. This is a huge experience for Darriel, whose dream is to make the British Team for the 2016 Olympics...the academy wish him well in his ambition to be an Olympian.

Beijing bound athletes visit Best Leg Academy -

Two man Nigerian Taekwondo squad competing at this year’s Beijing Olympics trained with the students of the academy for a week before moving to Manchester for a 2 weeks intensive training camp with the GB national team at the Taekwondo performance centre Manchester. The team was lead by Master George Ashiru, team manager of the Nigerian Taekwondo Federation Olympic Team. The club students had a play sparring with Isah Mohammed (-68kg), during the course of the training, and were able to learn various sparring technique from the athlete’s experience.

London Championships

Best Leg Taekwondo academy has been invited to the London Championships which will be held at the Tooting Leisure centre in October. This will be an opportunity for students of the academy who wish to further their sporting career to get selected into the London team squad.
